Let Slip The Dogs of War

So, this is how a world begins, not with a bang, but with a blog.

Sorry.

This blog is basically a place to store the text of my National Novel 
Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) Novel (NaNo) so I can recover it if my 
computer crashes. Of course, I'll probably just email myself the word 
document as an attatchment, as that will also preserve the formatting. 
My college even provides an online service to store files, so I might 
just use that. What I mean is, this blog will probably be a vast and 
empty expanse upon which the dust will blow. 

Anyway.

This NaNo will be about the Great War (WWI), mostly concerned with 
the antics of the Western Front. I'm going to try my best to get some 
permutation of the word "jape" into the title (jape, japes, japery, 
japish, etc.)

So, here you (maybe) can track the the ideas and outline of the novel 
during October and eventually the text of the thing when it goes live 
on November 1st. I stop on Novemeber 30th. At least 1667 words a 
day, for a total of 50,000.
